拱廊之火演唱組的兩首“紊亂(Sprawl)”之歌出自其專輯“郊區(The Suburbs)”，這個“郊區”主要是指城郊的住宅社區嘞；“紊亂(Sprawl)”是環境保護用語，主要是指城市雜亂無序地擴張拓展，以及由此而導致的嚴重的環境、心理等問題；“Sprawl”的中文意思即“紊亂”，又可譯為“蕪蔓”、“蕪雜”、“蕪亂”、“雜亂”、“混亂”、“迷亂”、“蔓延”、“亂七八糟”等；就本意而言，“Sprawl”原指某人或某些人伸開四肢坐著或躺著，比如你懶洋洋地舒展四肢坐在沙發上看電視，這就叫“Sprawl”，再譬如樓上掉下一個花盆正砸中你腦袋，把你砸昏了，你手腳張開趴在地上，這也叫“Sprawl”，再譬如好幾個人搞行為藝術，躺在公園綠地上伸開四肢擺出某些形狀來表達某些意思，這也叫“Sprawl”。

紊亂(Sprawl)之歌分為上、下兩首，第一首的副標題是“平原(Flatland)”，為男聲演唱；第二首的副標題是“山外山(Mountains Beyond Mountains)”，為女聲演唱。主要通過虛構的一對小情侶之口痛斥了環境的紊亂對人的心理、生理所造成的紊亂。比如我們星球上所有的城鎮房屋都建得差不多一模一樣，雜亂無章又毫無特色而言，以至於誇張點講，夜晚黑燈瞎火地看不清門牌號都找不到家，環境的乏味也使得人們心中的激情死掉。再比如“光污染(Light Pollution)”對人的心理和生理都造成了嚴重傷害，尤其是那些商業化的大型購物中心(Shopping Malls)，這些巨無霸恐龍骸骨象死亡的崇山峻嶺一樣橫臥在城市裡，夜裡從其各個高樓大廈上面肆無忌憚地亂射出各種眩目的光線。由於英文與中文語言上的差異，“Shopping Malls”目前我尚未找到由兩個漢字對應的詞彙，如果仍用“購物中心”，意思倒是對了，但於歌詞而言就嫌囉嗦了，於是我用了比較接近的“集市”，當然這裡指的是現代化城市的購物中心的“集市”了，而非傳統的農業社會的集市了。歌中的這對小情侶有著共同的感受和愛好，比如都喜歡騎單車，單車環保不排汙噢，再比如他倆都痛恨警燈，那種令人眩目的警燈也是紊亂源頭之一啊，城鎮的各種亂七八糟的污染使得他倆都成了無處可逃的“逃犯”。
